Kenny Del Toro

I was born in Edinburg, Tx. Salsa happened to me by accident, actually. It was in 2004 when one Friday night I decided to go to the club early. When I got there, I noticed that there were some people practicing some dance moves. It looked interesting so I decided to join the last ten minutes of the salsa class. I loved it so much that I went again the following week. I really started practicing in October, while preparing for the Latin Jazz Festival and I have been doing it ever since. I was part of a professional latin dance company since Jan. of 2004 until October of 2005. My dance partner at the time, Marissa, and I started a dance company of our own called One Love Latin Dance Company. It was at the end of December of 2006 when Lisa Vargas and Lee Rios approached me and invited me to move to San Antonio to be apart of Semeneya Pro Team and teach at their world reknown studio, Semeneya. I have gone to Salsa conventions in Houston, Dallas , San Antonio, Austin, Chicago, Corpus Cristi and have gone international in Acapulco and Monterrey. I have performed all over Texas, St. Louis, Aventura Dance Cruise, Mexico, New Orleans and have given workshops in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, all over Texas, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, St. Louis and Monroe, Louisiana. I have taught or been apart of events such as The Texas Salsa Congress, The St. Louis Salsa Congress, The Dallas Salsa Congress, many Bachata Festivals in Dallas, Houston and Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, West Coast/Salsa Festival in New Orleans 2 years. Our salsa community in San Antonio is growing and we hope to expand it a lot more in the future. One Love.
